The Energy Information Administration (EIA, part of the US Department of Energy)
periodically conducts surveys of residential households across the US collecting information on household
demographics, income, appliance holdings and energy use. The current 2020 survey (June 2023 final release)
includes 18,496 households providing state identification for individual household records.
RECS survey databases do not include hourly load data.
